BIO for Jennifer Brinkman
My photography journey began as a child with an interest in art. I would take photos as a source for my watercolor paintings and drawings. During college, I continued to increase my knowledge with several courses in fine art, but I decided my major should be in marketing and advertising. I’ve always been drawn to the visual side of marketing and advertising. Around 2008, I began my serious journey into photography. It was as if I had new eyes in seeing the paradise that is Southwest Florida. Photography has become my passion, and I am either taking photos or processing them every day. I especially love coastal landscape photography, but all aspects of outdoor photography interest me.
I was the hotel photographer for The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, until it's recent closure. My photos have been published in many marketing pieces and on the website for The Naples Beach Hotel, and my photography was used 5 times for The SummerJazz Poster for The Naples Beach Hotel. I’ve been published in Gulfshore Life Magazine as a “Treasures” 2 page spread many times, in Marco Island Magazine, Naples Florida Weekly, Naples Lifestyle Magazine, a book titled “Mostly Kids Guide to Naples, Marco Island” and many cover photos, inserts and on the website for "Must Do" magazine in Sarasota, Ft. Myers and Naples. I have been a member of the Naples Art Association and have exhibited my photography in their art/photography shows. My photo was accepted into the juried 2016 Camera USA show. It was highlighted on the cover and in an article in Gulf Coast Times. In another exhibit, my photo was chosen by the Naples Art Association to be used in their marketing for the show.
